Send two reminder texts and most no-shows stop. One 24 hours before and one 2 hours before, both asking for a one-letter confirmation. In the episode Marcus drives 30 minutes to an empty driveway and loses $195; with the two texts Gina replies “C” and the detail goes ahead at $390. A no-show is not bad luck, it is a missing reminder.

What happens in this episode
Customer of the Week: Ghost Gina. Thirty minutes of driving, nobody home, and an “omg I totally forgot lol” after the fact. Marcus reschedules for free and eats the drive. DIAL sends two texts instead.
Marcus drives 30 minutes to the appointment and nobody is home.
Thirty minutes of driving, $0 made.
Gina texts afterwards: she totally forgot. Marcus says no worries and reschedules for nothing.
Money leak: −$195 for the morning.
In the rerun, two reminder texts go out: one 24 hours before, one 2 hours before, both asking for a reply.
Gina replies “C” and shows up. +$390.
Van jar: $1,495 of $6,000.
DIAL’s fix
Send a reminder 24 hours before and another 2 hours before. Two texts, not one.
Ask for a one-letter reply. “Reply C to confirm” is easier to answer than a question, so more people do it.
No reply to either text is your signal to call before you drive, not after you arrive.
